ECMC Paediatric Oncology and/or Haematology Drug Development Clinical Fellowship

The ECMC Paediatric Network is seeking applicants for the Paediatric Oncology and/or Haematology Drug Development Clinical Fellowship. This is an exciting opportunity for doctors in training who are committed to becoming paediatric haematologists or oncologists in the UK, with a strong interest in further extending their expertise in drug development.

About the Fellowship

The ECMC Paediatric Network brings together clinicians and translational scientists to run early-phase clinical trials for children and young people with cancer across the UK. The fellowship offers the opportunity to work in one or more ECMC paediatric centres, gaining exposure to early-phase trials involving children.

Training & Development

Fellows will receive exposure to drug discovery, preclinical testing, genomics and personalised medicine, biomarkers, and trial designs. They will also have the chance to participate in the ECMC-JING: Training the Next Generation workshop and regular paediatric ECMC meetings.

Funding

The fellowship offers a salary scale between £55,500 and £68,000, depending on experience.

Timeline

  • Deadline for application: 14 January 2025
  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed by early February 2025, with online interviews arranged shortly after.
  • Selection will be made by the end of March 2025.
