Our governance

We are governed by independent panels and boards. They help guide our strategic thinking, how we deliver on our initiatives and our decisions on which centres become a part of our network.

How we fund our centres

Joining our network involves a robust peer-review process led by independent international experts.

Funding is awarded on a five-year basis with centres reporting annually to make sure high quality research is being carried out. The current cycle runs from April 2023 to March 2028.

At the end of each funding period, we review all centres again to decide network membership and funding for the next five years.

Our governance

Several groups support our network and drive delivery of various aspects of our strategy.

These include:

  • our Strategy Board provides overarching governance and support for the network's strategic objectives and delivery

  • our Paediatric Strategy Group and Paediatric Leadership Forum supports our strategic work in children’s and young people’s cancers

  • our EC Trial Finder Governance Group supports our EC Trial Finder platform

  • an International Independent Advisory Board provides expert guidance and advice

  • our Funders Group provides strategic oversight and makes final decisions related to network activity
