Our patient involvement forum
Our dedicated patient involvement forum is made up of people affected by cancer from diverse backgrounds.
Overview and remit
The patient involvement forum contributes to programme office-led projects in our network. It brings together patients and people affected by cancer from across the UK to feed into and discuss how best we can progress the ambitions of delivering patient-centred research across our network.
We welcome everyone affected by cancer. The group includes both members who are familiar and experienced with our network to people who are new to clinical research and patient involvement.
The group meets virtually, four times per year (every three months).
Focus areas
Shaping network-wide activity: offering strategic input on our initiatives, resources, and priorities to ensure patient perspectives are embedded across the network.
Strengthening patient involvement: contributing to discussions on how to grow, diversify, and support patient involvement across our network, including developing approaches and resources for new representatives.
Peer support and shared learning: providing a space for patient representatives to connect, exchange experiences, and learn from one another.
Advising early-phase trial teams: offering high level, UK wide patient insight to support trial design, communication, and patient centred decision making.
