Hear about the ECMC network’s work to better support young cancer patients
One of the main reasons for a lack of progress in treating cancer in teenagers and young adults (TYA) is that this age group is less likely to participate in clinical trials than children or older adults. That’s why the ECMC Network set out to identify the key barriers and challenges to accessing clinical trials to ensure inclusivity and equity of access.
How did we do this?
We captured experiences on the key challenges and brought people together at four workshops to discuss how we can work together. Representatives at the workshop included clinicians, nurses, patient advocates, industry and regulators.
What happens next?
Summarising and sharing what we’ve heard. Then we’ll prioritise and plan how we take this forward together.
