Welcome to the joint Chairs of the ECMC Trial Operational Delivery
The ECMC Programme Office is delighted to announce the appointment of Melanie Morris (Belfast ECMC) and Chris Barron (Newcastle ECMC) as Joint Chairs of the ECMC Trial Operational Delivery Forum.
Melanie and Chris bring extensive operational expertise in delivering early-phase oncology trials. Both are actively involved in their respective sites at management level, leading teams and overseeing the delivery of cancer research. They have also contributed to key national initiatives, helping to shape research practices and policies across the clinical trial landscape within the UK.
As joint chairs, they will help guide the Forum’s strategic direction, fostering collaboration and ensuring its activities align with the ECMC Network’s shared objectives and vision.
Their leadership will help strengthen connections across the Network, encouraging active participation from both adult and paediatric centres and supporting the collective delivery of complex innovative design trials in early phase oncology.
We look forward to working closely with Melanie and Chris in these new roles. Their experience and energy will be a great asset to the Forum and we are excited to collaboratively unlock the full operational potential of the ECMC Network together.
